I was tagged by Mary Anne so I guess I have to pony up and reveal some deep dark (and not so dark secrets).
above photo; hand pinched tea bowls. I have been making these since the beginning of my time as ceramic artist. They re-emerge every now and then, changing and not changing. These three are for my upcoming show in February.
- I have a fear of scaffolding. I always think it is going to fall on my head so I always avoid walking under it.
- I am not married and I do not have any children.
- I can't stand the sound of people clipping their nails with nail clippers on airplanes. Drives me insane.
- I am the only person in my family to have a college degree.
- I have and immense amount of faith but do not adhere to any one religion.
- I hate mayonnaise on my sandwiches (though I like it with other things).

Lovely teabowls- something I got very into making, to the point of wanting to go to Japan and learn it all properly. Oh your blog is making me want to get back into the ceramics studio!
Glad to read some personal stuff, kind of fun--:)mad

oh! the tea bowls... so so so perfect. gasp!
these are just lovely tea bowls! i have my 6th graders make them each year & they really love the practice/aesthetics/history! (i teach art here in the bay area) these are super -- would you mind if i printed a picture to share with them? i strive to expose them to as many contemporary, living artists as i can...thanks!
these tea bowls leave me without words.
Love the pinch pots and their simplicity.
